Meet Christy

I’m so excited that you’re here!

My name is Christy, and I’ve lived in the DC suburbs all my life. I am a mother of two, a wife, and a former elementary and middle school history teacher in Fairfax County. I adore working with kids, and getting to raise my own two kiddos is my biggest joy!

I’ve always been passionate about everything under the (very) large umbrella of “arts and crafts,” and photography has been such a natural extension of that love. Turning this hobby into a career began during 2022 while juggling my role as a stay-at-home mom to two toddlers during the pandemic, and my growing desire to pour my love of art and creativity into something that made lasting memories for those I loved.

When I’m not following others with a camera or running around with my little ones, you can usually find me involved in ANY kind of craft - baking/decorating cakes and cookies, painting, sewing something fun for a costume party (hello Renaissance Faire!), adding creative lettering to chalkboards and letters - if it involves creating something new and exciting, I can’t get enough!

If I’m not involved in some kind of craft, it’s usually because I’m busy renovating a different section of my house! After college, I worked with my dad to nearly-completely demolish and rebuild a house in Falls Church. With our full-time jobs we could only work weekends, and we did almost everything ourselves. I started dating my boyfriend-turned-husband in the middle of this process, and he’s become a great partner in all the crazy home projects he and I now get involved in!

I can’t wait to get to know you!
